A sample shift. Nothing is recorded or sent.
Two ways in.
Choose automatic tracking or keep the control in your hands. Both write to the same time record.
Arrive. Work. Head home.
The standalone Time Maters app uses GPS on the phone to start your shift when you arrive and stop it when you leave. A reminder keeps lunch on your radar.

Ready for review.
Hours by worker, site and day. Review shifts, approve corrections, and export for payroll.

Request a fix.
A worker proposes a correction with a reason.
Review the change.
A manager approves before payroll changes.
Keep the history.
Before and after values remain in the audit trail.
Know the crew.
See who is clocked in based on the latest synced records. Message or call in the app without displaying personal phone numbers.
Use the list as a starting point for emergency muster, then confirm who is accounted for. Clock-in status alone is not confirmation of someone’s safety.

Try the example: mark each person accounted for. Fictional crew; no live location data.

Clock events, not continuous GPS tracking.
Your hours.
Your choice.
Sharing clock-event coordinates is optional and off by default. Allowing GPS on the phone does not give permission to share those coordinates.
There is no continuous location trail, only clock events. Workers can see what was recorded.
Keep the record.
Clock events queue on the phone and reconcile when the connection returns. Pending and confirmed events stay clearly marked.
Other devices see updates after they sync. An offline or force-closed phone cannot deliver an instant site update.
On site for a day?
You still count.
Sub-contractors can record time and appear in the site headcount without being set up as employees. Keep the people doing today’s work in the picture.
